Conti’s is more than just home for delightful cakes and pastries. It’s also home for an initiative that brings delight beyond the celebration table—into schools and into the future.

The #ContingTulong project is an initiative of Conti’s that opens opportunities for children to continue their studies. Conti’s believes that by supporting education, we can deliver delight to the future of the younger generation.
To realize this initiative, Conti’s has been partners with educational advocacy groups Punlaan School and 2KK Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid. Sharing the same purpose of delivering quality education especially to marginalized youths, these partnerships have yielded admirable results through their years of collaboration.
Punlaan School is focused on helping underprivileged young women get access to education. Since 2006, spearheaded by its founders, Conti’s and Punlaan School have produced 76 graduates together. As of July 2021, there are 24 scholars within the Conti’s group.
“We believe education empowers the person to become contributors to the betterment not only of their families but also of the community, this is why we support the advocacy of Punlaan to provide access to underprivileged young women to quality education,” says Joey R. Garcia President and CEO of Conti’s.
As testaments to the rewards of quality education, some of the graduates even found themselves building their careers with Conti’s. Ms. Imelda Mica is among the previous scholars from Punlaan who is now a proud and trusted Conti’s employee. Graduates like her have been assigned to different areas of operations—dining, commissary, and management.

During Conti’s 23rd anniversary last year, it was decided that 23 more scholars will be joining the program, this time, through the brand’s partnership with 2KK Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid. 2KK is an organization that supports the education of select students in Payatas, Smokey Mountain, Sampaloc, and Escopa.

The partnership initiated a project called “Cake Collection for Education.” With a little purchase of signature cake magnets from Conti’s, customers can support scholars and bring light to their hopes and dreams.

“The struggles we experienced this pandemic really called for the need to help each other any way we can. We know that there are challenges with online learning and we chose to support the education of our youth to bring hope and light to their future,” remarks Patricia Tan, General Manager of Conti’s.
As of January 2021, the project has already yielded Php 345,000.00—an amount that greatly elevated the educational situation of these scholars.

Staying true to its core of building communities of hope through education, Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant declares their dedication to continuing the initiative with Punlaan School and 2KK Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid.
More than anything else, this project is made possible by the customers who, even in little ways, contribute to delivering delight to the future of the next generation.
