In front of a live audience of "drag addicts" at Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier in Taguig City, NAIA was crowned the first Drag Supreme of the Filipino reality competition show Drag Den with Manila Luzon, which is broadcast on Prime Video.

NAIA soared high amongst co-finalists Maria Christina and Shewarma, who finished first and second, respectively. The final "dragdagulan" to the crown consisted of a lip sync battle, national costume round, and swimwear round.

In the end, the judges were impressed by NAIA during the Q&A portion. She responds, "Coming here to this competition, I did not come here with the biggest budget or the best gowns and wigs." This is the one thing that makes her the true Drag Supreme. I only came here because I am passionate about drag.

“And when I auditioned, I knew that Drag Den was for the underdogs. And I have that quality of growth that I have exhibited ever since Day 1. I’ve stumbled and I’ve gone through so much hardship, especially in this competition. And Manila, you’ve opened my eyes to what drag could truly be. It is freedom of expression and I can’t be more happy to be here,” she adds.

“I hope that my story inspires young queer artists who are afraid of putting themselves out there, because I was afraid. But thank you Manila for giving this platform because I was able to prove that growth is what you need to become the next Drag Supreme. I hope I made you proud. Thank you, Manila.”

The eight-episode reality show, which was hosted and executive produced by "Drag Lord" Manila Luzon, attracted a lot of viewers thanks to its bold fashion statements and distinctive looks that capture the zeitgeist of Filipino society. Additionally, it featured drag queens such as O-A, Aries Night, Barbie-Q, Pura Luka Vega, and Lady Gagita—the so-called members of the "drag cartel." Nicole Cordoves, who plays Drag Dealer, and Sassa Gurl, who plays Drag Runner, co-hosted the show.

Produced by CS Studios, series creator and director Rod Singh and Antoinette Jadaone of Project 8 Projects, all episodes of Drag Den with Manila Luzon are now streaming on Prime Video.
