At Schiaparelli's Haute Couture show, Pat McGrath gave us metallic, bejeweled ears painted with silver pigment, studded with Swarovski crystals, and then paired with chunky earrings. The final look was both surreal and sophisticated.

Lashing out
Diana Ross was Diane Kendall's inspiration for the thick doll-like lashes at the Marc Jacobs show. Instead of mascara, they doubled down on the look by using black nail polish to achieve the glossy, melted look.

Sleek hair, you stay
The Paris Haute Couture shows of Schiaparelli, Fendi, and Giambattista Valli gave us their own twists to sleek, sexy hair. Meanwhile in New York, Prabal Gurung and Helmut Lang used the same trend to helped their collections exude a confident and strong modern woman.

Looking glassy
Pat McGrath took the glass skin trend to a whole new level when she sent out the porcelain doll-esque looks on the runway at the Maison Margiela Couture Show. Later on revealed that she used concoction of peel-off masks, diluted with distilled water and applied via an airbrush in several layers which were blow-dried to set each time.

Big hair, don't care
Big voluminous hair was one of the memorable trends during the Fall Winter 2024 shows. Christian Cowan had mob wives in mind for his collection, giving his models big bouncy Madmen Era hair. Similarly, Marc Jacobs employed hairstylist Duffy to create towering bouffants made from human hair wigs with The Supremes serving as their muses.

Face embellishment's made a comeback with Simone Rocha's Haute Couture Collection for Jean Paul Gaultier, with jewelry for the brows and cheeks. At Robert Wun's second haute couture show, models had a smothering of crimson crystals on their lips and cheeks adding elements goth and horror to his show.
