Sony Music Entertainment Launches New Southeast Asian Pan-regional Label, OFFMUTE


Sony Music Entertainment launches Southeast Asian label: OFFMUTE – a new pan-regional label focused on championing new and emerging Southeast Asian talents by drawing on Sony Music’s entire Southeast Asian team’s combined experience.



OFFMUTE allows emerging recording artists to develop their music and follow their creative vision across all genres. The new label will support Southeast Asian artists in amplifying their music and building a solid pan-regional audience based through enhanced promotional, marketing, and artist development, drawn from Sony Music's global expertise and resources.

OFFMUTE has also announced their first signees. Clara Benin, an acclaimed Filipina singer-songwriter. She has amassed more than 25 million streams on Spotify and YouTube combined. Benin has won multiple awards, including "Wishclusive Contemporary Folk Performance of the Year" for her song I Rose Slowly. Mezzaluna, a singer-songwriter based in Indonesia, will be releasing her debut single this year, which OFFMUTE will be amplifying across the region. And lastly, Liesl-mae, an emerging recording artist based in Malaysia, is known for her soothing and almost-lullaby-like tunes. Liesl also enjoys performing in different languages and advocates for mental health education and awareness.

Expect OFFMUTE to announce more signing new artists in the future as the label hits the Southeast Asian music industry.
