The Art of Appreciation: BINI Mikha and Moss Laygo's Beautiful Gift for Their Moms

We all love our moms, but sometimes life gets in the way. We get so busy with work, school, and other obligations that we forget to show our moms how much we appreciate them. While Mother's Day may be the official day to celebrate them, let's not limit our love and admiration to a mere 24 hours. Our moms deserve more than a day of our affection and gratitude, so why not show them every single day?

After all, our moms deserve it. They've put up with A LOT from us over the years. They've wiped our tears, mended our wounds, and cheered us on from the sidelines. They've sacrificed their own happiness for ours.

One heartfelt way to show our love and appreciation for our moms is by surprising them with customized gifts. These tokens of affection don't have to be grand or costly; the thought and love behind them truly matter.

In a heartwarming twist, Moss Laygo and BINI Mikha delighted their beloved moms with a personalized painting from the Paint It Fun workshop in Greenhills, San Juan, Metro Manila. Join us as we delve into an exclusive interview with Moss and Mikha, as they share their artistic endeavors, talk about their exceptional moms, and reveal the true essence of PARCINQ Life in Sync.

Bini Mikha's Lucky Charm

When it comes to the P-pop girl group BINI, Mikha's name shines bright, capturing the hearts of fans worldwide. But behind the spotlight and her captivating stage presence, she's simply known as Mikhaela Janna J. Lim to her family. While her meteoric rise in the entertainment industry has made her a star, BINI Mikha playfully acknowledges that her incredible success can be attributed, at least in part, to her secret weapon and good luck charm—her beloved mother, Myrla Lim!

"My mom is my lucky charm," Mikha exclaimed, playfully selecting a Maneki-Neko cat to paint as her special gift for her beloved mother. With a mischievous grin, she added, "She's the reason why I'm in Bini right now. And hey, it's a cat! I love cats!"

As she meticulously added the first touches to her gift, Mikha couldn't wait to present it to her mom. She knew that her gift would not only be a beautiful piece of art but a heartfelt tribute to the woman who had shaped her into the confident and talented individual she had become.

"I think I inherited my mom's empathy," she shared with a heartfelt smile when asked about what trait she inherited from her mom. "I've always had this innate ability to feel for others and sense when something isn't right. And I know I got that from my mom."

Mikha's choice of a Maneki-Neko, the iconic Japanese beckoning cat, perfectly symbolized the fortune and prosperity her mother brought into her life. But more than that, it represents her mom looking for her welfare.

"I admire my Mom's patience," she shared. "Especially towards me. I'm very hard to wake up every morning, and she gets people are scared to wake me up because they get scared because I get cranky, but she's going to do it even though I'm going to get lowkey mad," she jokingly added.

With Mikha's artistic flair at work, she carefully painted her chosen Maneki-Neko figurine with a striking combination of orange and yellow hues. These vibrant colors symbolized the dynamic and lively relationship she shared with her mom. However, PARCINQ Life in Sync, knowing Mikha's deep affection for her mom, had a surprise in store.

In addition to the ceramic Maneki-Neko, PARCINQ presented Mikha with a set of ceramic flowers from Paint It Fun. These delicate blooms awaited Mikha's artistic touch, offering her a chance to create another heartfelt gift for her beloved mother. The ceramic flowers represented the enduring beauty and everlasting bond between them.

To make the surprise even more memorable, PARCINQ went the extra mile and invited Mikha's mom, Myrla, to join the special occasion. Mikha's eyes widened with delight as her mom entered the room.

With a mischievous smile, Mikha showed the two gifts she had prepared, eager to engage her mom in a playful guessing game. "Which one do you think I made?" In which her mom, Myrla, displaying her quick wit and playful spirit, playfully responded by choosing the gift Mikha did not create. "This one," she replied, a twinkle of amusement in her eyes.

Laughter filled the room as Mikha and Myrla shared a lighthearted moment, their playful banter adding an extra layer of joy to the occasion. As we ended our fun-filled day, Mikha shared a sweet message with her mom.

"Thank you, Ma, because even when I can't always reply, you're always there to check on me. You know I live alone and don't have anyone else around, and I appreciate how you always take care of me and push me forward. You make me feel like I'm never alone."

With heartfelt sincerity, Mikha's mom also expressed her gratitude to her daughter. Despite the challenges of distance and a busy schedule, Myrla remained a constant presence in her daughter's life, ensuring her well-being and offering encouragement. "You are not alone," she replied to Mikha.

Moss Laygo's out-of-this-world hero

With his soaring success as a sought-after model in the Philippines, 20-year-old Moss Laygo found himself caught up in his busy schedule, forgetting to buy a Mother's Day present for his beloved mom. However, as the saying goes, "It's better late than never," Moss was determined to make it right.

With a playful grin, Moss carefully selected an astronaut figurine to paint as a special gift for his extraordinary mother. "I chose an astronaut because my mom is truly out of this world," he said, infusing his wit with a touch of intergalactic humor.

"My mom is strong, elated, and hardworking," Moss passionately expressed, as he eloquently described the remarkable qualities that defined his beloved mother. It was these very attributes that made the choice of an astronaut as a symbol of her impact on his life all the more fitting and added a whimsical twist to his heartfelt gesture.

It represented her unwavering support, her ability to reach for the stars, and the way she guided him through the vastness of life with love and guidance.

As Moss poured his vibrant shades of green paint into the figurine, he also ran his creativity onto the surface, infusing it with his deep love and admiration for his mom. The room was filled with anticipation as we asked Moss about the traits he inherited from his remarkable mother.

"I think it's just being able to I guess, make other people laugh I feel like in the house all my mom is like the joy bringer of the family, so let's say I've sort of adopted that into like my own group of friends," he said.

It turns out that Moss' mom is none other than the talented Joanne Laygo, the Director of popular shows such as ASAP Natin 'To, The Voice Kids S5, IDOL Philippines S2, I Can See Your Voice, and Your Face Sounds Familiar. Amid their busy schedules, Moss shared a heartwarming insight into their relationship, revealing that they always find a way to check on each other.

With a chuckle, Moss shared, "Even with our packed schedules, my mom and I never fail to stay connected. We're always messaging each other or having a quick phone call at least once a day. We have this online interaction going on, where we send each other funny videos and Instagram reels that make us laugh."

The lighthearted exchange of hilarious content became a special way for Moss and his mom to stay connected despite their demanding commitments. In those moments of shared laughter, they found a sense of closeness and a reminder of their bond.

When probed about his mom's hidden talents, Moss couldn't help but crack a sly smile. "My Mom is a comedian, she's really funny especially when she's with her friends," he said. "But of course, she's also a really good dancer, she used to dance when she was younger, I think, even professionally, but actually as you grow old you don't see much of that, but when she's out there celebrating her occasions, you can definitely see that."

As Moss delved into his own dance background, a mischievous smile played on his lips. "I never actually won any dance competitions," he admitted. Despite that, he acknowledged that he still cherishes those moments because it's something he and his mom share.

As Moss put the final touches on his astronaut figurine, PARCINQ presented him with a set of ceramic flowers from Paint It Fun. With a playful smile, Moss took hold of the ceramic flowers and started painting once again. This time, he dipped it into a vibrant shade of green, reminiscent of his mom's lively spirit and the flourishing bond they shared. Carefully, he added delicate strokes of color to each petal, bringing the ceramic flowers to life.

To ensure that the surprise was nothing short of extraordinary, Parcinq pulled out all the stops and extended a heartfelt invitation to Moss' mom, Joanne, to join in on the special occasion. As a touch of suspense and playful fun, Moss presented two choices to his mom, asking her to guess which one he had made especially for her. The room filled with anticipation as Joanne studied the options before her.

With a smile, Moss couldn't help but chuckle as he watched his mom's eyes light up with recognition. "I think I already know," Joanne quipped a twinkle of certainty in her gaze. It was as if their unspoken connection allowed her to see straight into Moss's creativity.

In a blink of an eye, Joanne picked the green colored flowers and astronaut as she felt like its more of her personality. Which is utterly true, the green-colored flowers resonated with Joanne's vibrant and lively spirit, symbolizing her energy and zest for life. The astronaut figurine, on the other hand, captured her adventurous and determined nature, representing her willingness to explore new horizons and reach for the stars.

As the day drew to a close, Moss took a moment to express his heartfelt message to his mom. "I think when days are hard when times get tough, you know I always look back at my family one of them of course being my mother," he began. With sincerity in his voice, he continued, "and although I feel that I have my own struggles and it's hard to push through and look at my mom who's hard-working never stops going out of her way to exceed her limitations and word whether it be work or in the household and so I just want to say I love you and I'm very grateful because you allow me to push myself harder than anybody I can imagine. I love you, mom."

His mom, overwhelmed with emotion, responded with a laugh and cheer-filled eyes, "I love you too, Moss." Her words echoed with a depth that only a mother's love could hold.
