Rejoice, P-pop fans! Tugatog Filipino Music Festival has just confirmed its setlist, and the P-pop revolution is about to start!
If you are going to think about it, Filipino music has come a long way. From kundiman to the OPM (Original Pilipino Music) of the 60s and 70s to the newest sound of P-pop. This only proves one thing: Filipino music is ever-changing and here to stay.
As the sound of P-pop continues to thrive and pave its way into becoming an international phenomenon, Ant Savvy Creatives and Entertainment Inc. is bringing the first Tugatog Filipino Music Festival online this June 18, 2022.
This year, the all-Filipino music festival will feature the most prominent P-pop groups in one stage, including Alamat, BGYO, Bini, Litz, MNL48, PPop Generation. Joining the star-studded line-up are P-pop boy groups Press Hit Play, 1ST.ONE, and VXON, with more to be announced soon.
Online ticket sales for Tugatog Music Festival already started Monday, March 1, 2022, at TicketMelon. Priced at Php 2,700, the VIP tickets will include unique exclusive content and access to the event stream. Not only that, willing participants are indeed up for a treat because tickets will be 30% OFF for the entire month of March!
Music + Heartbeat + Peak = TUGATOG.
Tugatog Filipino Music Festival is set to celebrate the rise of P-pop in the most exciting way. It’s a play on the words “tugtog” as “play,” the sound of a beat or heartbeat (tug-tug), and “tugatog” that means “peak” or “summit.” Tugtugan sa Tugatog.
Tugatog Filipino Music Festival aims to showcase both rising and prominent artists that define the peak of Filipino music at a given time, and for 2022 the spotlight is on P-Pop.
“We will combine the best elements of the live performances with visually-stunning cinematic experience to encapsulate the energy of P-pop,” says Miggy Tanchanco, the show director of Tugatog Filipino Music Festival.
What to expect in Tugatog?
What makes it more exciting is that the Tickets may include access to special content and many more! Tugatog merchandise such as t-shirts, bags, notebooks, and more, will also be available for the event.
The music festival is set to run for about 3 to 4 hours, with 25-30 total songs. We might also see some collaborations happening, as fans want to see their favorite groups perform together during the festival.
