Acclaimed designer Ditta Sandico marked her 40th year in fashion with the triumphant staging of “Quadrova", a benefit fashion show held on May 29, 2025, in support of the Mangyan weaving community of Oriental Mindoro, produced by JMG Infinity Events.
More than just a celebration of style, Quadrova was a powerful tribute to craftsmanship, cultural heritage, and sustainable fashion. The show featured Sandico’s timeless collections—sculptural Banaca wraps, elegantly draped silhouettes, and intricately embroidered pieces—each echoing the artistry of Filipino weavers and telling the story of her four-decade journey in fashion.

Gracing the runway were some of Philippine society’s most celebrated muses like actress/model Angel Aquino, Virgie Garcia, Dr. Amy Bautista, Jenny Mercado-Ortega, Mache Torres, Malu Y.Bewer, Carol Mercado, Rufina Gelston, Paz Alberto, Marissa Barrera-Sycip, Joy C. Luna, Vickie Von Loh, Arthur Tselishchev, Albert Dizon, Annabel Uy, and Tiffany Cuña, who all wore Ditta’s iconic designs with grace and purpose. Adding
brilliance to their looks were diamonds from Miladay Jewels and custom-made accessories from Farah Abu.
Socialite Tessa Prieto, as well as beauty queen Sam Bernardo, graced the Filipino-themed bridal show with models Pebbles de Asis, Dani Camcam, Rapha Camcam, Tatian Maher, Philippe Magalona, Catherine Von Graves Moya, Ava Abejar Davis, Sophie Guiyab, Cella Ozaeta, Bianca Mae Bewer, and Raphael Kiefer. The guests were immersed in a show that seamlessly blended tradition and innovation, with segments that honoured her early beginnings and offered a bold look into the future of slow fashion. The FEU Choir serenaded the muses and the brides while the Philippine Ballet

Theater donned the Mangyan collection during the bridal segment. Proceeds from Quadrova will directly benefit the Mangyan weavers, whose handmade fabrics and embroidery have been central to Ditta’s collections for decades. Known for championing sustainability long before it became a global trend, Sandico continues to uplift indigenous artisans, blending fashion with advocacy.
“Quadrova is a celebration of every weaver’s hand, every fiber spun with purpose,” said Sandico. “This is fashion with a soul.” “This show was more than a production—it was a story of legacy and impact,” said Ruby Guiyab of JMG Infinity Events, the show’s producer. “We are honored to have helped bring Ditta’s vision to life and raise awareness for the Mangyan artisans.

The show was supported by MEGA, the Fashion Institute of the Philippines, Destileria Limtuaco, Althaus, Le Couleur, Mark'ed Salon, Barenbliss, MVP, and Ark Angel-Ginebra. The show was not only a resounding success but also a heartfelt call to value heritage, empower communities, and support fashion that lasts.
