The future of fashion is, without a doubt, female!

Women have long been fighting for their freedom and their rightful place in a male-dominated society. But over the years, they’ve done more than claim space. From breaking barriers to making history, Filipina women continue to redefine what’s possible. Take Hidilyn Diaz, who lifted her way into the record books as the Philippines’ first-ever Olympic gold medalist in what was once considered a male-dominated sport. Now, rising tennis star Alex Eala stunned the world by upsetting three Grand Slam champions—the biggest milestone of her career yet.

This women’s month, as we celebrate the power, resilience, and ingenuity of women, we’re also shining a light on how fashion becomes more than just what you wear. To showcase this creative force, the Parcinq Team hit the campus grounds to collaborate with eight talented fashion design students from four well-known schools: De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, iAcademy, the Fashion Institute of the Philippines, and SOFA Design Institute. With VANS providing a selection of their signature gear—from classic sneakers to graphic tees—the students were challenged to put their own spin on the pieces. The result? Bold, boundary-breaking designs that prove the future of fashion is, without a doubt, female, and a nod to that style that is a little bit off the wall.
Future Fashion Designer Keana

Thriving in an environment where creativity knows no bounds, Keana from De La Salle College of Saint Benilde finds endless inspiration in the rhythmic chaos of Manila, where bustling streets and fleeting moments become her lenses and canvas.

For Keana, fashion is a silent dialogue and a way to speak without uttering a word. As she passionately puts it, “Fashion is a super important way to talk to people.”
With a fearless approach to self-expression, Keana dreams of carving out her own signature style—one that is raw, authentic, and unapologetically her. Through her work, she aims to empower and inspire, proving that the future of fashion is unmistakably female.
Future Fashion Writer Max

With an eye for detail and a flair for storytelling, Max feels “super lucky to have a way to share my thoughts and ideas” through her creative work. A student at De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, she finds endless inspiration in the people around her and believes that fashion is inseparable from culture, shaping identities and giving voice to the unspoken.

As she passionately shares, “People are so important to fashion, and I really think culture is woven into everything. It helps us figure out who we are and gives us a way to say things we can’t always put into words.”
For Max, every piece she creates is a reflection of shared experiences and a wearable dialogue of heritage, emotion, and self-expression. With bold vision and fearless artistry, she proves that female creativity is transformative.
Future Fashion Icon Vien

With a keen eye for individuality and a fearless approach to self-expression, Vienne threads self-discovery into every outfit, seeing fashion as a catalyst for personal growth.

A student at the Fashion Institute of the Philippines, she views every style choice as a reflection of her evolving self. As she insightfully shares, “Fashion is my identity. It lets me show who I am and be real every day through what I wear, letting the world see my personal style."
This mindset shapes her signature style, from bold fits to statement footwear. Recently, she’s found a new creative spark in Vans sneakers, drawn to their distinct, vintage vibe.
Future Fashion Designer and Model Kaila

Kaila wears her confidence like a signature accessory and turns every outfit into a bold declaration of self-assurance.

A student at the Fashion Institute of the Philippines, she sees fashion as an extension of her identity. “I believe that because fashion is all about showing who you are, it makes me want to become the best version of myself.”
Every piece she puts on is a statement of authenticity—whether it’s a daring silhouette or a classic staple, it reflects her fearless individuality. Her style is effortlessly unapologetic, proving that fashion isn’t just about fitting in.
Future Decora Designer Kianna

“Don't be scared and don’t worry if your style isn’t what everyone else is doing. Just go for it, because at the end of the day, what you want to wear is what really matters!” These empowering words from Kianna, a rising talent from iAcademy, reflect her fearless approach to fashion.

With bold creativity and unapologetic self-expression, Kianna proudly shares her recent design competition wins, celebrating major milestones in her journey. “As a design student, I recently took home a win at the Mata Expo—I created this super fancy dress. And I also won the Harajuku contest! Those are definitely moments I feel really proud of.”
Her victories are proof that daring to be different pays off. With an aptitude for bold aesthetics and a passion for pushing boundaries, Kianna encourages women to embrace their individuality.
Future Lolita Stylist Erin

Erin strides through life with style as her story. For this iAcademy student, fashion is her personal poetry because for her, it is a way to express who she is without a single word. “For me, fashion is like a narrative. It definitely says something about who I am,” she shares.

Her love for Vans sneakers reflects this creative spirit. Drawn to the newer, more versatile designs, she sees them not just as skate shoes but as playful canvases for self-expression—cute, edgy, and effortlessly her own.
Lately, she’s been pairing her platform Vans with non-girly outfits, adding a rebellious edge with every step.
For Erin, style is a love letter to authenticity—raw, real, and unfiltered.
Future Fashion Stylist Venice

A student at SoFA Design Institute, Venice thrives on the ever-changing landscape of the industry—jumping from one role to another, exploring new creative corners, and finding fresh ways to express herself.

“What I’m most proud of are all the times I’ve been able to create something. I’ve worked in so many different roles and areas of fashion, and it lets me express myself in so many cool ways,” she shares, her voice brimming with passion.
She believes in tossing old-school norms aside and experimenting fearlessly. “Try things out. Don’t be afraid to go against what people have always thought was normal,” she encourages, pushing for boldness over conformity.
Future Fashion Designer Vianca

Femininity is fluid—a personal expression of Vianca that defies the limits of tradition. “Being feminine is different for everyone. You don't have to look or act a certain way that people think feminine women should,” she asserts.

Vianca believes in the magic of putting yourself out there—doing the work, making connections, and growing through every experience. She sees these genuine bonds as victories, proof that in an industry as dynamic as fashion, lifting each other up is the ultimate power move.
Vianca is also excited by how streetwear is evolving, becoming more inclusive for women—a space where femininity can be edgy, soft, bold, or subtle.

Power comes in many forms. For these students, it’s their style and creativity that hit the hardest. As they revealed their reimagined designs, it was a declaration that women in fashion are forging their own path. Bold cuts. Daring details. Raw, unfiltered creativity. With every stitch, they proved that fashion is power and their way to take up space, make noise, and refuse to be overlooked.
