MONARQ is Bolder Than Ever

They say all good things must come to an end and it’s no different for modeling agency, NEW MONARQ. It has met its climax and has declared a new era. As they approached their 8th year, the agency is becoming bolder than ever and it’s got a new name to go with it. They’re dropping the “NEW” and will be known only as MONARQ moving forward.

As they welcome this new season, the agency is also debuting their new lineup of models. With directors Anton Patdu and Boggy Diaz at its helm, MONARQ has slowly but surely built itself as one of the premiere modeling agencies in the Philippines, bringing models of different nationalities from all over the world, mentoring and honing them to reach their full potential. MONARQ is also the only modeling agency to be listed in models.com– the leading database for model agencies and creatives all around the world.

Starting with less than 5 fly-ins when they started, MONARQ now has more than a 100 models globally and currently 35 models in town. It might seem like a low number for a major homegrown agency but they take pride in having a very curated roster of models. Anton and Boggy are not shy in saying that their casting process is not the easiest. They’re highly selective and all the models that they take under their wing are hand-picked, even if that means having fewer models than their fellow agencies. Anton shares, “We make sure that we offer something different from other agencies so we’re really selective on who makes the cut.”

With their keen eye on spotting potential and providing rigorous immersive training, the payoff speaks for itself as their talents frequent both print campaigns and runways. Their models have appeared as editorial muses on top fashion magazines, can be spotted on prime billboards in the city, and have been the faces of major campaigns of fashion and beauty brands. Their goal for their models is also always geared towards making them not just sought-after models locally but also internationally with some of their models already being booked for shows in fashion cities like Paris and Milan the past few years.

So, why are they dropping the “NEW” from NEW MONARQ? “This is a new era for us," Anton says. Its about time to enter a new phase and MONARQ seem to be a perfect fit as it is our way of making a bold statement that we’re now more mature, more bold, and more confident with what we can offer. Since launching the agency, we’ve done a lot of experimenting in the beginning. But I would say now, we’ve finally found our look. For my department, The MONARQ Man is someone who is sexy, confident, and sure of himself.”

As MONARQ embarks on their new chapter, they promise bigger and more unique profiles flying

in. Anton simply has this to say about the changes that will be unfolding along with their newly

baptized agency, “This is just the beginning.”
