“Malayo pa, pero malayo na tayo,” these are the exact words Ma. Shaireen Joi H. Belen, also known as “Shai” (@shaibelen_) has been reminding herself and her fans throughout her career.
Before, she had absolutely no intention of joining the KUMU x Parcinq campaign for she knew how hard and bloody the campaign would be. But through the help and support of all the people who stood as the wind beneath her wings, she was able to fly and experience what it’s like to be on cloud nine.
For Shai, KUMU is a game changer for it is the biggest plot twist of her life. KUMU made her realize that she’s truly a work of art, and she vows to herself that this will certainly not be her last.
“(KUMU) My daily reminder that I can always go beyond my limits and that I can do more of what I’ve ever imagined,” she stated, learning that the trick to having achieved that success in her career is by staying true to herself.
She is already in her element and she’s on her way to achieving her full potential. With all of her hard work and perseverance, these would surely surface to great lengths. By these great lengths, people have witnessed her achieve her first of all firsts by far entirely on KUMU—first time winning on a magazine shoot, first time being in the top 3, first time earning 3 million organically in a campaign, and first 3 million in her entire stream. This is without a doubt, possible through her faith and devotion to God.
However, Shai’s journey doesn't end here because she thrives to maintain the unquenchable thirst for success and the tenacious drive to achieve even greater heights.
The Prince of Progress
Progress is not merely a destination, but an endless journey of forward-thinking and growth. As for Jeffrey Hernandez, also known as Prince (@prince), he has yet to uncover all the amazing opportunities ahead of him and wouldn’t want to have regrets in the future. He reminds himself that he has to take every chance that he has and enjoy every journey that he takes. Hence, he knows that he is in fact, a work in progress.
Prince is never new in the industry. “I plan to continue to enjoy the app,” he expressed. For the fourth time, with all of his success throughout his career came the birth of yet another success to be celebrated with PRINGELS (Prince Angels). As it turns out, the clamor for endless opportunities extends even beyond Prince’s almost four years in KUMU.
As a content creator, he always makes sure that he caters to his audience’s liking. Whether it be in dancing, singing, bulsahan, tambay, game shows, travel/lifestyle, he has consistently been living up to his name: Prince, showcasing versatility. He has undoubtedly made a mark in KUMUnity and continues to elevate his brand by providing creative content to his audience, in more ways than one.
When it comes down to his PRINGLES, he yearns to keep moving forward and create nothing but happy and unforgettable memories with them. Thus, Prince always wears his heart on his sleeve when he creates content for them.
Because for once, KUMU has not only been a streaming platform for him but also introduced him to the best family he has ever known; for Prince would not be Prince without these people.
