Given how incredible music festivals are, it is no surprise that they take a lot of work to plan and execute. In a new interview with PARCINQ Magazine, the P-pop boy group ALAMAT discussed the behind-the-scene production process of their stage performance in the upcoming TUGATOG Filipino Music Festival from start to finish.
As fans gear up toward the anticipated music festival, they have shared some of their inner workings and things that fans should expect during the event.
"The biggest thing we represent as a group is celebrating who we are," says Taneo, the leader, main dancer, sub-vocalist, and visual of the group. "As you can see, most of us are big in representing, showing, and being prideful of our roots. And that is something we want to showcase during the festival, being multicultural and multi-lingual, Pinoy pride in its essence," he continued.
TUGATOG Filipino Music Festival
Dubbed as the "stage for top Filipino talents to celebrate the best of OPM year after year," the upcoming Tugatog Filipino Music Festival aims to highlight the Filipino culture and identity through music and talent. So when asked about what to expect in their performance, Jao, the main dancer, sub-vocalist, visual, and bunso of the group, assured that fans would not be disappointed as they are preparing a lot and that they are hands-on for the upcoming event. "We always want our culture and diversity to keep living on and be the center of our music," He said. "We want everyone to be proud."
"We wanted to make our performance different from the previous ones, so fans will expect a little twist here and there when we perform our hits," Taneo added.
During the interview, Alamat also hinted at their possible performance of a new and unreleased track on their sleeve.
"For the songs, we already have the songs listed, and we already know what to perform," Jao said. "How we are preparing for it, of course, is quite hard. The biggest part of it is preparing ourselves on how to deliver a performance everyone will like and remember. Especially with the new and unreleased song that we will be performing in Tugatog," he added.
