Celebrating the merriest holiday ever might feel surreal. But for content creator Aldwin Steven Go (@aldwinsteven), there’s no denying the joy—it's all captured in his PARCINQ solo cover shot.
Living the dream
“The most meaningful gift I received this year was to be on the cover of PARCINQ magazine,” confesses Aldwin. To be featured in a magazine you love for the first time is special. But being featured a second time and becoming the cover star feels like everything is aligned for this moment.
Seeing yourself on the cover page evokes a unique feeling, but for Aldwin, the focus is more on the stories he can share with a wider audience. “As a content creator, I want to be an inspiration to others, showing them that no matter how hard life is, dreams really do come true," Aldwin expresses with conviction.
As he reiterates, “Being on the cover of PARCINQ brings back all the memories of the time when I used to dream of being on the cover of a magazine." This feature feels like the culmination of Aldwin's hard work this year, and you can't help but celebrate with him.
Where credit is due
Every achievement in Aldwin's Kumu journey is thanks to his Kumu Fam, who supports him tirelessly. His achievements mirror the hard work of his supporters, and together, they rightfully celebrate this success. And it's about time we give them the respect they deserve. These individuals are not just viewers; they are also catalysts for dreams.
"They are always present in every path I take. I wouldn't be here without them. I just want to say thank you very much for the love and support, both online and offline. This is our feature; this is our success. Mahal na mahal ko kayo. Maraming salamat."
From magazine and billboard projects, which Aldwin considers his favorite Kumu ventures this year, to consistently making it to the winner's list—his unbreakable Kumu Fam played a crucial role. Before 2023 comes to a close, Aldwin expresses his gratitude and plans to give back the support.
"I want to create content that allows us to reminisce about all the memories we made this year. It's also an opportunity to express gratitude for everything they have done and the support they have shown, making everything possible."
A manifestation of hard work
Citing his previous PARCINQ feature, Aldwin vowed to elevate his streams after the campaign. True to his words, he emerged as the winner this time, enabling him to check off items from his 2023 bucket list, such as being PARCINQ’s Anniversary Issue cover star. But if there's one thing he's equally excited about, it's making the biggest purchase of his life.
“I am very excited to share with you all the details about it. But to give you a hint, I'm already in the process of turning that dream into reality,” he teases. While that one remains a secret, here’s what everyone knows about Aldwin—he has a generous spirit for people in need.
Kumu has evolved into a lifeline for Aldwin, and with the blessings he has received from the app, he's sharing them with those who deserve it. "One of the most memorable collaborations this year is with the Hapag Movement. Through this partnership, we were able to assist fellow Filipinos experiencing poverty and hunger."
Through a collaborative streaming event, they managed to make a donation to our fellow Filipinos, ticking off another item from his bucket list. Although the exact amount collected from this stream is unknown, one thing certain is that this blessing will come back tenfold.
Commitment to connections
Apart from having a big heart and excelling as a content creator, what Aldwin does best is forging authentic connections. As a testament to this claim, he shared a standout moment with his fan this year.
"I believe that when one of our Kumu Fam members was slowly recovering from a stroke, we had a chance to see her during one of our streams, and that really resonated with me on a deeper level."
For non-Kumu users, you could only imagine the magic Aldwin's connection brings. Even in the midst of what seems like challenging moments in life, people still go out of their way to watch his streams and show their support.
Despite the busyness this year, with projects, streams, and events piling up, Aldwin ensures to carve out a moment for himself. It's important for him to regain and recharge, as there are people out there finding renewed hope and drawing comfort from his streams. It is in these moments that Aldwin finds meaning as a content creator.
Aldwin describes 2023 as fulfilled, blessed, and complete, yet it feels inadequate given all the good things he accomplished this year. As he looks forward to 2024, he aims to build even stronger connections with more people. With that, his dream of collaborating with more content creators, including celebrities and eventually Miss Small Laude, doesn't seem far-fetched. And when it finally happens, his Kumu Fam and we will be the first ones cheering.
