#PARCINQSuperFresh Featuring Patrick Sleat

In the sports scene, having to remember and follow numerous names can be overwhelming. Choosing between skills and looks is tough, but some effortlessly stand out with both. And when an athlete comes with more than one, supporting them is never not an option.

Capability, appearance, and principle packaged in a 6’2 body. Meet Patrick Sleat, the athlete who truly deserves the spotlight. In this #PARCINQSuperFresh feature, we'll show you exactly why.

Rising hoops hottie

At 22, young cager Patrick Sleat from Far Eastern University is ready to join this super fresh roster to watch out for. With his ardent defense and all-around basketball skills, reaching the final four in his rookie season stands out as a defining moment in Patrick's career so far. And we're just as thrilled as he is to see him elevate his game.

Following in the footsteps of Alvin Patrimonio, Chris Tiu, and Benjie Paras, who all had a career in showbiz after their UAAP journey, Patrick is not one to shy away from the opportunity. “I would love to,” he admits. With his celebrity appeal, we could see the potential as early as now.

Not ‘sticking to sports’.

Apart from Patrick’s basketball skills, many fans have taken to social media to express their admiration for Patrick’s positive influence online. He gained praise by taking stands on issues like the jeepney phase-out and advocating for good governance.

While many athletes avoid such topics, Patrick does not hesitate to use his platform for them. “It means a lot to me because I really want to help the community and stand up for their rights. I want to be recognized as someone who helps the community,” he shares.

A steadfast mentality

Sleatyboy, as fans would fondly call him, is all about being active and consistent. For him, "fresh" signifies consistently refining his game with a renewed passion each day.

Patrick lives by the words, “Stay in the present.” But if he has to look back on the team’s uncharacteristic results in Season 86, Patrick only sees it as a learning experience. Consistency and focus are the lessons he holds dear this year as he looks ahead to 2024, playing the game and enjoying every moment.
